The maternity capital program was extended for another 5 years

The law “On additional measures of state support for families with children” will be amended.

The need to extend the program of maternity capital until the end of 2030 said Russian President Vladimir Putin in a message to the Federal Assembly. It is assumed that thanks to the extension of the payment program, another 5 million Russian families will be able to receive.

Earlier, the amount of the capital was indexed. From February 1, the size of the subsidy for the first child is 690 thousand rubles, at the birth of a second child, the family will additionally receive almost 222 thousand rubles. The full amount of the capital for the second child for families who did not receive a subsidy for the first -born — 912 thousand rubles.

The Vice Speaker of the State Duma Anna Kuznetsova told Rossiy newspaper that it would continue to be indexed taking into account the actual inflation. She said that the program can be expanded: the families will have more options for ordering a subsidy.
