The Mayak festival started in Sevastopol

The All-Russian festival of media teams “Mayak” has started. 16 finalists from different cities of Russia gathered in Sevastopol. The guys were pre-selected in three areas: photography, video and design. On the first day of the festival, participants got to know each other, the organizing team and experts. And most importantly, they received tasks that they will work on during the festival.

  • The designers’ task is to create unique merch for Sevastopol. It could be anything from a T-shirt to a mouse pad. The main thing is to develop an original design that will be placed on objects.
  • The photographers’ task is to create postcards about Sevastopol. Capture moments and process the footage so that they reflect the true life of the city.
  • The videographers’ task is to create a promotional video about Sevastopol. Show the city through the eyes of a tourist or local resident and reveal its unique features.

In addition to working on assignments, young media professionals will attend lectures and master classes from experts, get to know Sevastopol better, and also take part in an entertainment program.

On the final day, participants will be surprised and the best will be awarded.

The festival is held by the Sevastopol Station of Young Technicians with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
