The media forum “Journalism in the Northern Military District” began its work in Simferopol

The first Crimean media forum “Journalism in the Northeast Military District” began its work in Simferopol. The event is attended by representatives of the authorities of the Republic, the teaching staff of the Institute of Media Communications, Media Technologies and Design of KFU. V.I. Vernadsky, students, journalists, including from new territories.
The forum participants were greeted by the Acting Minister of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of the Republic of Crimea Albert Kurshutov, on behalf of the acting. Rector of KFU named after. IN AND. Vernadsky’s first vice-rector Sergei Yurchenko, the head of the Union of Journalists of Russia Vladimir Solovyov also sent a video presentation.
Today the information front is no less important than the main one. Every day, journalists have to face new challenges, overcome the onslaught that comes from the enemy in the information space, and which we all have to resist. Of course, all this is with only one goal — to win.noted Albert Kurshutov.
He thanked the organizers for such a large-scale and interesting event and wished the participants fruitful work, new acquaintances, strengthening business and personal contacts.
As part of the media forum, which will run on September 14-15, its participants will discuss a number of topical issues. Among them are journalistic education and the ethics of behavior of correspondents in the context of conducting military training, legislation in the field of media, trends and forecasts of media consumption in Crimea, the status and practice of military journalists when covering military training and many, many others.
A highlight of the media forum will be the opening of the photo exhibition “War Through the Eyes of Journalists,” at which the authors, through the prism of their own photographs, will present a personal vision of the events taking place.
On the second day of the forum, a creative meeting with director Konstantin Kovrigin on the topic: “Travel notes and fiction in war” is planned, as well as meetings with war correspondents in a remote format.
