The Meganom Academy will design the interior decoration of the temple

On November 8, an educational program began at the Academy of Creative Industries «Meganom» (project «Tavrida.ART»), where artists, icon painters, restorers, mosaicists and muralists will work out and begin to implement the project for the interior decoration of the church-chapel in the name of St. Great Martyr George the Victorious, construction of which is already underway in Kapsel Bay in Crimea.

Young craftsmen from Tula, Sevastopol and Moscow, together with experts, will go through the key stages of building the temple and will create murals, paint icons for the iconostasis, and also work on the decorative elements of the temple decoration. As part of the program, participants will listen to lectures on the history of icon painting and Orthodoxy in Russia and meet with prominent representatives of church monumental art. In addition to the main work on the project, participants will travel to the holy places of Crimea.
