The memory of the genocide of the Soviet people by the Nazis became the topic of «Conversations about the important» in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The school week for Russian schoolchildren traditionally began with a solemn line and the raising of the state flag of the Russian Federation. After the line, extracurricular activities “Conversations about the important” took place. On the eve of the Day of United Actions in memory of the genocide of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War, which is celebrated on April 19, schoolchildren talked about preserving historical truth and preventing the revival of Nazism. In Sevastopol, the honored lawyer of the Russian Federation, writer, historian Alexander Zvyagintsev acted as an extracurricular speaker.
80 years ago, on April 19, 1943, the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR No. 39 “On punishment measures for the Nazi villains guilty of killing and torturing the Soviet civilian population and captured Red Army soldiers, for spies, traitors to the motherland from among Soviet citizens and for their accomplices. This is punishment for atrocious crimes against the civilian population, war crimes committed, the murder of thousands of civilians. But there was the last battle of the Second World War — the Nuremberg trials, the main trial of mankind. For the first time in the history of civilization, an aggressor was tried. Since the beginning of the Second World War, our country has demanded an international court, a fair, based on the law and firm law of humanitarian understanding of what is good and what is bad.— said Alexander Zvyagintsev.
5th grade students of Sevastopol School No. 48 also watched documentary materials on the contribution of the Red Army to the liberation of concentration camp prisoners.
The worst thing is the camps for children. Yes, some camps were completely for children. There the Nazis gathered the most unprotected, the weakest, smallest inhabitants of our country, whom the Nazi machine did not spare and did not spare. Children were «biological raw materials». The Nazis destroyed the future of our people— said the English teacher Evgenia Ponkratova.
The tragedy of the Makeevka orphanage «Charity» is a real symbol of the genocide of Soviet children during the war years. Makeevka, a city in the Donetsk People’s Republic, hosts the world’s only memorial to forced donor children. It was installed at the burial site of 300 children from the Charity Orphanage. The largest concentration camp in Crimea was Krasny. Before his release in 1944, about 15 thousand prisoners of war, civilians and members of their families were tortured there.
When I listened to the story of those events, I was very sad about what our country went through. For a long time people suffered, many died. They did not give their lives in vain — now we live in peace. I really hope this never happens again— shared the schoolgirl Sophia Slyusarenko.
Despite the terror, terrible conditions of detention, Nazi attempts to eradicate everything human from people, the prisoners were able to retain their best qualities and showed resistance. Their love for the Motherland, life and freedom inspires and impresses us to this day.
It is very important to talk about what once violated human life. We are grateful to the creators of the cycle of classes «Conversations about the important» for raising the most burning topics. It is very difficult to talk about the genocide, the Holocaust with young children; adults do not always understand and accept such information. We hope that «Conversations about the Important» will develop in our children the qualities that will help them to be strong, steadfast, confident and ready to defend our Motherland.— emphasized the teacher of world artistic culture and the foundations of the spiritual and moral culture of the peoples of Russia, Irina Firsova.
“Conversations about the Important” is a series of extracurricular activities devoted to key aspects of human life in modern Russia. Lessons have been held in all schools in the country since September 2022 every Monday, where students discuss issues related to the history and culture of the country, its role in world processes.
