Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, in the course of checking the fulfillment of the state defense order at enterprises of the military-industrial complex in the Tula region, set the task of increasing the production of radar detection equipment used during a special military operation. This was reported in Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, checked the progress of the implementation of the state defense order at the enterprises of the military-industrial complex in the Tula region. The head of the Russian military department inspected the production workshops of the enterprise, which is part of the Almaz-Antey Concern VKO, and produces modern radar systemsthe message says.

Yan Novikov, General Director of Almaz-Antey Concern VKO, reported to Sergei Shoigu on the increase in the pace of production and supply of modern counter-battery weapons to formations and units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation performing tasks in the NMD zone. The head of the enterprise reported to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation that due to the reconstruction and technical re-equipment carried out over the past two years, potential production capacities for the entire range of products have increased significantly.

Efficient engineering solutions and an increase in work shifts have made it possible to improve the quality of product manufacturing and reduce the time indicators for its production. Serial production of the latest models of radar means of reconnaissance of firing positions has been mastered— noted in the Russian military department.

Following the results of the work, Sergei Shoigu held a meeting with the participation of the management of the enterprise and relevant military authorities. The minister set the task of increasing the production and repair of radar detection equipment used in the interests of conducting a special military operation.

In the course of a special military operation, the most important role is assigned, today, to counter-battery combat and to providing our group with everything necessary for its conduct. These are artillery reconnaissance systems in combination with the means of destruction that we need today to conduct effective counter-battery combat.— Sergei Shoigu emphasized during the meeting.

The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation demanded that the management of the concern organize round-the-clock work of the enterprise, in the 24/7 mode.
