The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Crimea awarded the young Crimean Anna Gorelova for “silver” in the All-Russian competition

The Ministry of Finance of Crimea awarded Anna Gorelova, a 5th grade student at Yalta Secondary School No. 12, for silver in the All-Russian competition of projects for presenting a budget for citizens 2023. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko, who presented the young talent with a II degree diploma from the organizers of the competition and valuable gifts from the main financial department of the republic.
We are very proud that among 44 children from different regions of the country who sent their projects to the All-Russian competition, our young talent Anna Gorelova from Yalta received silver in the category “Budget for citizens in modern forms of art”, presenting a fascinating coloring book for kids a coloring book for kids with original poems. For the first time in 8 years of participation in the competition, Crimea became a prize-winner among individuals,” emphasized Irina Kiviko.
The deputy chairman clarified that Anna was unable to attend the awards ceremony for the winners of the competition, held at the site of the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” on December 20, 2023 in Moscow. In this regard, it was decided to celebrate the winner as part of a special event organized at the site of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Crimea.
The All-Russian competition has been held by the Financial University under the Government of Russia with the support of the Ministry of Finance of Russia since 2015, its key task is to popularize budget information among citizens, as well as increase the financial and budget literacy of the population.
In 2023, the competition commission reviewed 425 projects from citizens and legal entities. In total, 63 competitive projects were awarded diplomas of winners and prize-winners in 18 nominations of the competition.
For the first time in 2023, a separate list of children’s nominations for the competition (under 15 years old) was approved. Children submitted 44 projects for the competition.
In July 2023, by decision of the republican competition commission based on the results of the VIII republican competition of projects “Budget for Citizens”, annually held by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Crimea, Anna Gorelova’s project was sent as the best work among individuals, which scored 333 out of 350 maximum possible points, to participate in the second round of the federal open public competition of projects to present the budget for citizens.
