The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Crimea: financial games, quests and a meeting with the skibus were held as part of the program «School by the Sea»

These days were filled with bright emotions, new discoveries and unforgettable moments. Our young participants got acquainted with the basics of financial literacy and successfully applied the knowledge gained in financial games, went through quests and, of course, began to form ideas for implementation within the framework of initiative budgeting. There is still a lot of interesting things ahead. The second half will be saturated with new activities, fun games and creative projects. We are looking forward to the opening of projects implemented by children,-quoted the press service Irina Kiviko.

Deputy Prime Minister recalled that the profile shift “School by the Sea” takes place under the patronage of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Crimea from June 24 to July 14 at the Radi Sails children’s recreation center (Zavozernaya PBI).

The main events of the first half:

• June 27 — the grand opening of the profile shift of school initiative budgeting (ShKIB) “School by the Sea”, which started on June 24. The talisman of the project — Shkibus opened the shift. The children passed the commanding quest and have already tried themselves both in the role of project initiators and in the role of judges in the game «4 Guardians». The purpose of the quest is to get to know each other better, learn more about the territory of the camp, note the best places in the camp, as well as territories that could be improved.
• We also held a drawing contest “The camp is just space!”. The participants were offered to fantasize what the “Scarlet Sails” camp was if he was moved to distant space. Someone invented the location of the clip planets in a huge galaxy, and someone fit the whole camp on one flying saucer. It turned out very fun and creatively.
• On June 30, they held a Fair of Initiatives. Participants in the “School by the Sea — 2025” shift with the help of drawings told adults what they want to change. According to the children in “Scarlet Sails”, a new cinema hall, bathrooms in the bedrooms, a buffet and many other interesting changes should appear to create an even more comfortable stay.
• On July 1, the director of the Digital Technology Department of VTB (PJSC) Anna Matveeva held a fascinating lesson on the topic of personal financial planning. In an easy and affordable form, she told the children about the basics of personal financial stability, planning and security. The guys actively participated in the conversation, answered questions, analyzed financial situations with the lecturer and asked a lot of questions. The most active participants in the conversation were presented with VTB gifts.
• On July 2, the main manager of direct sales of PSB Bank PSB Nadga Bakalova and the corporate sales manager of PSB Bank Svetlana Khmlyuk conducted a lesson on the basics of financial literacy. Bank experts carried away the children by the animated series about the Monozhni family, in each series of which rather complex concepts and processes are explained in an accessible form: how to save money; What is an additional bank card for; What is a credit limit on a card and overdraft; How to create a financial «airbag». After each series, the children answered the final control questions, and received a reward for the correct answers.

This year, the project is being implemented by the efforts of researchers of the Center for the Study of Civil Initiatives Kip. Fevzi Yakubov, specialists of the Ministry of Finance of Crimea, invited experts in the field of finance.
