Krympress reports:
During the seasonal activity of ticks, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea recalls measures of the prevention of tick -borne infections.
When walking in nature, you must observe simple rules that make it difficult to access the ticks to the body: use light, tightly adjacent clothes with long sleeves and completely closing the legs; process clothes with special repellents scaring ticks; Periodically inspect your clothes and body. After a walk, you must examine yourself and your loved ones.
In the case of sucking in the tick, it is necessary to contact the nearest trauma point for properly removing the arthropod. It is not recommended to remove the tick on your own, since it is very difficult to do it right yourself.
Further, a removable tick in order to study it for dangerous diseases, it is necessary to deliver to the FBUZ Laboratory “Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in the Republic of Crimea and G. Sevastopol” (Simferopol, 67 Naberezhnaya St.) or to any other laboratory accredited to this type of study. This is necessary due to the fact that the ticks are carriers of the pathogens of dangerous infections that cause lime disease (borreliosis), tick -borne viral encephalitis and other serious diseases.
