The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Crimea summed up the results of the second stage of the operational-preventive measure “Detect”

In order to intensify the search for those accused and suspected of committing crimes and hiding from the bodies of inquiry, investigation and court, as well as missing persons, and to establish the identity of unidentified corpses, including those wanted on the initiative of the Ministries of Internal Affairs (police) of the Commonwealth member states Independent States, during the period from October 23 to October 24, 2024, the second stage of the federal operational and preventive measure under the code name “Detect” was carried out on the territory of the Republic of Crimea.
As a result of the event, the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Crimea identified and detained 35 persons who were on the federal (interstate) wanted list, of which 9 were wanted by units of the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Crimea, 22 — by units of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, and 4 — law enforcement agencies of other constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
Also, employees of the criminal investigation units established the location of 7 missing people, 1 of whom was wanted by employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Samara Region.
