The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea summed up the results of the operational and preventive measure «Debtor»

From June 17 to 21 and from June 24 to 28, the operational and preventive measure “Debtor” was held on the territory of the Republic of Crimea.
The main objective of the operational and preventive operation, codenamed “Debtor”, is to carry out preventive measures aimed at the timely repayment by citizens of their debts for administrative fines imposed by officials of the internal affairs agencies.
About 2 thousand employees of the peninsula’s internal affairs agencies are involved in the event.
During the period of the operational and preventive measures, police officers, as part of preventive work and with the aim of collecting unpaid administrative fines, checked more than 2 thousand addresses of debtors who had not paid fines within the time period established by law.
During the event, more than 400 thousand people voluntarily paid administrative fines totaling more than 190 million rubles. Police officers collected more than 14 thousand administrative fines from unfulfilled orders, for which the voluntary payment period had expired, totaling more than 11 million rubles.
For evading the execution of administrative punishment, police officers have drawn up more than 1 thousand reports on administrative offenses against individuals who have not paid the fine on time.
During the operational and preventive measures, about 500 administrative materials for evasion of administrative punishment were sent to the courts for consideration and decision-making.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea informs that, in accordance with Part 1 of Article 20.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, failure to pay an administrative fine within the time period stipulated by law shall entail the imposition of a fine in the amount of double the amount of the unpaid fine, but not less than one thousand rubles, or arrest for up to 15 days, or compulsory work for up to 50 hours.
The Crimean police remind about the need to pay administrative fines on time in order to avoid the application of enforcement measures.
