The Museum-Reserve announces the All-Russian family competition of New Year's toys «Christmas Star in Chersonesos»

On the eve of the winter holidays, the museum-reserve gives adults and children from different parts of the country a unique opportunity to decorate the Christmas tree in Chersonesos with handmade toys and talk about their family traditions.

Anyone can take part in the “Christmas Star in Chersonesos” competition! To do this, you need to make a star-shaped toy with your own hands and write a short story about your family’s New Year or Christmas tradition. All this must be sent before December 15 to the address: 299045, Sevastopol, st. Drevnyaya, 1. As the recipient of the letter, indicate the Federal State Budgetary Institution GIAMZ «Chersonese Tauride».

The competition is held in two categories: “Best designer Christmas tree toy” and “Special prize”. The authors of the best jewelry will receive gifts from the museum-reserve. After the completion of the competition, all the participants’ toys will appear on the Christmas tree in Tauride Chersonese.

Job requirements:

• made by hand;
• material of manufacture — any, except glass;
• all elements of the star must be connected to each other;
• the toy must have loops or brackets for attaching to spruce branches;
• decoration size – from 5 to 20 cm;
• weight — no more than 400 g.

Acceptance of toys for the “Christmas Star in Chersonesos” competition will last until December 15. The award ceremony for the winners will take place at the museum-reserve on December 25. We will inform you additionally about the time and place of the ceremony.
