The My History Foundation handed over the Children's School in Chersonese Tauride to the Government of Sevastopol

Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an agreement was signed on the transfer to the city of Sevastopol of an object — a children’s art and aesthetic center, created on the territory of the Tauric Chersonese historical and archaeological park. The agreement was signed by the Government of Sevastopol and the Foundation for the Support of the Humanities «My History».

The unique idea of ​​the Metropolitan of Pskov and Porkhov Tikhon (Shevkunov) was supported by our president, and the school was built in an incredible time frame. The children’s school in Chersonese is already one of the most significant places in our city. I will not exaggerate at all if I say that the whole city is waiting for its opening. The Children’s Art and Aesthetic Center will be able to accommodate almost 900 students. The school opens up fantastic prospects for our children. We are confident that the school will leave its mark on the cultural history of not only the city, but the whole country. There are no analogues of such a school. Work at the facility ended not so long ago, but already hundreds of Sevastopol children want to gain knowledge in such a significant facility for the city— the press service of the FGP and the historical multimedia parks «Russia — My History» quotes Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The Children’s Art School is the first part of a large-scale project for the construction and reconstruction of the historical and archaeological park Tauric Chersonese. It is also the first purpose-built building for continuing education in the arts. The new building will allow accommodating 844 students in 2023, of which 250 are students of the Art School, by 2027 we plan to increase the enrollment of students to 1,372 people.

The result of a very effective and in many respects significant joint work of the Patriarchal Council for Culture, the My History Foundation, the complex of military builders of the Ministry of Defense and the leadership of Sevastopol on the completion of the first stage of construction of the historical and archaeological park Tauric Chersonesos was today the signing of a document on the transfer of the city of the building of a new art schools. I am sure that this is not only a significant event in the artistic life of the entire peninsula, but also a great hope that the future pupils of this one of the best equipped creative institutions in the country will leave for future generations paintings and sculptures glorifying the place of Chersonesus in the history of our country for centuries. , — said the director of the Fund Ivan Esin.

Recall that on March 18, 2023, President Vladimir Putin opened the children’s art school in Chersonese.

Training is planned to be conducted according to 5 pre-professional programs that were not previously available in Sevastopol: «Design», «Architecture», «Arts and crafts», «Choreographic creativity», «Art of the theater».

It is also planned to introduce 10 general development programs in these areas, incl. «Early Aesthetic Development», «Roman Mosaic», «Pottery», «Musical Theatre», «Graphic Design», «The Art of Pop Vocal».

The school will begin its work with the beginning of the academic year, and admission to the school of arts will begin in August, as Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev has repeatedly emphasized, the enrollment process will be as open and understandable as possible.
