The Administrative Directorate of Property of the Republic of Crimea put up for the Villa Elena hotel in Yalta, nationalized in May 2023 and previously owned by Lithuanian businessman Kolas Igoris. The starting price of the lot was more than 919 million rubles, the relevant documentation was published on the auction website, reports TASS:
According to the documentation, more than 30 rooms and apartments with furniture, household items and appliances are offered for sale; the lot also includes parking spaces and a swimming pool. Applications will be accepted until May 23, the auction will take place on May 27.
Earlier on the website of the State Council of Crimea, with reference to the head of the council, Vladimir Konstantinov, it was reported that Kolas Igoris also owned Dudnik LLC, Stability LLC, Sekunda LLC, Intour-Premier LLC, Zodiac-Omega LTD LLC and LLC «Intour Yialos».
About nationalization in Crimea
On October 18, 2022, deputies of the State Council of Crimea adopted a law by absentee voting on the possibility of recognizing the property of unfriendly foreign states and their citizens as the property of the republic. The changes affected land plots and other movable and immovable property that, as of February 24, belonged to these persons.
After this, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, ordered the nationalization of the property of organizations and individuals associated with the Kyiv government, including the Bakhchisaray Plant Construction Industry JSC, the Zaliv shipbuilding plant, and the property of RusLine Co. LLC. Then deputies of the State Council of Crimea added the property of Megastroy to the list of nationalized enterprises.

“Villa Elena” is a five-story hotel in Yalta near the embankment. Construction of the villa was completed by the autumn of 1912. At the time of construction it was the tallest building in Yalta. The hotel had its own park and elevator. From 1912 to 1918, Villa Elena hosted noble people as a 1st class hotel.
In the fall of 1920, the villa was nationalized by the Soviet authorities. It housed a climatic and phthisiological medical institute, then a sanatorium and a resort clinic. In 2000, complete restoration of the building began. In 2007, Villa Elena became a hotel again.
