The Nature of Art Festival was held in the fields of the Crimean Turgenevka

CrimeaPRESS reports:

On July 1-2, in the endless lavender fields of the village of Turgenevka, which stretches over 280 hectares and is one of the largest not only in Russia, but also in Europe, the following concerts of the Nature of Art Festival were held, organized by the Sevastopol Ball production agency. The events were attended by more than 3,000 guests from all over the Crimea and various cities of Russia, including Sochi, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Krasnodar. They became spectators of magnificent events, enjoyed the beauty of the Crimean nature and the magical power of art, and were also able to appreciate the lavender ice cream, which was prepared by the key partner of the Festival — the historical Snezhinka cafe in Sevastopol.

The Nature of Art Festival is a unique project that combines the beauty of nature and art in one ensemble. It is dedicated to the great Russian artist Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky. His creative concept is to present a gallery of «living» paintings in the natural picturesque scenery of the Crimea.

Musical, dance and theatrical performances in open natural areas — in blossoming peach orchards, in lavender fields, in blooming roses, in hemp fields, vineyards and the seashore — become new cultural spaces and a source of incomparable aesthetic sensations and impressions.

The next «etude» of the Festival was the painting «Evening in Lavender Colors». The program and libretto reflected the atmosphere and character of this amazing place. The stage was erected right in the midst of blooming lavender fields, under the open southern sky. On July 1, a concert «Opera and Ballet» was held here, which was attended by 1000 spectators.

The enjoyment of the holiday of nature and art was presented to them by magnificent opera singers — soloists of the Krasnodar musical theater «Premiere» Igor Gorban (tenor) and Anna Chudaikina (mezzo-soprano), Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Dinara Khafizova (soprano), magnificent Server Kadirov (bass), owner rare baritone Artem Fedorov and Arsen Isamidinov (tenor). The famous operas and operettas by Verdi, Strauss, Kalman, Lehar, Rimsky-Korsakov, Donizetti, Tchaikovsky and other great composers sounded special that evening: it seemed that the singers lived through every story and feelings of the heroes of musical works embodied by them — exquisite Harlequin, playful Figaro, luxurious Don Juan, passionate Carmen, refined Mimi and Rudolf, gentle Nedda and many others.

The splendid ballet performances became a bewitching spectacle. The dance part of the program was presented by the soloists of the Krasnodar Yuri Grigorovich Ballet Theater — Premier Vladimir Morozov and ballerina Yulia Lisitskaya, as well as ballet dancer Ekaterina Svirepova and Sevastopol dancer Alexander Pozdnyakov. The audience saw duet and solo parts from world-famous and unsurpassed ballets — Don Quixote, Scheherazade, Genzano Flower Festival, La Bayadère and Esmeralda. The evening was decorated with ballroom couples — participants of the Sevastopol Balls, who brought to life scenes from great operas.

On July 2, the lavender fields were filled with a heady sense of freedom and incendiary melodies of jazz and latin. The best musicians and vocalists came together to give a firework of bright emotions to more than 2000 guests of the Festival. On this July evening, the lavender festival was created by: jazz trio «A3» — Andrey Rybalchenko (piano), Andrey Aminov (guitar), Andrey Degurko (drums); Viktor Nikulin (saxophone), Maxim Perov (trumpet), Ivan Mangarov (guitar, Rostov), as well as vocalists Siku Plum (Cuba), Anastasia Kataeva (Rostov) and Anna Shakel and special guest showman Stephen Mitchell (USA).

Two extraordinary performances combining jazz and opera became a special decoration of the program. Siku Plum and Igor Gorban, an operatic tenor from Krasnodar, won a flurry of applause with mind-blowing numbers «It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World» and «It’s my way», which delighted the audience.

The «Nature of Art» festival in lavender fields has become the apogee of happiness! It was an incredible summer weekend: a sea of emotions, absolute sincerity, a unique unity of artists and guests of the Festival, endless purple fields and intoxicating aromas. An absolute fairy tale and an amazing feeling that everything that we wished came true. Both concerts had a large number of spectators and now our Lavender Festival has definitely become the largest in the world— says Ekaterina Grafodatskaya, project manager of the Nature of Art Festival.
