The new academic year is close: in Sevastopol, the readiness of educational institutions is checked

In Sevastopol, checking the readiness of educational organizations for the beginning of the new school year continues. Six specialized commissions assess the condition of more than 200 objects. They go to objects subordinate to the Department of Education and Science, the Department of Culture, as well as the Department of Sports. In addition, private educational organizations are checked.

Today, one of the commissions worked in the Gagarinsky district, where the check of preschool institutions took place.

First of all, we evaluate the observance of sanitary standards, the level of security of objects, the equipment of group rooms, music rooms, catering units. Attention is also paid to personnel support — both teachers and technical personnel. It is important — the presence of conditions for children with disabilities. The main task is to eliminate all the revealed comments before the start of the school year — The press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science Elena Andrus.

The priority areas of the audit are the issues of ensuring fire safety. Development measures are checked: mowing grass, cleaning dry foliage, lack of furniture, and garbage in the premises of building materials, furniture.

Preparing for the new school year is a familiar and responsible process for us. We do not do something specifically for verification, but maintain order daily. Our kindergarten No. 89 is visited by 268 children, in the summer — a little more than 100, since many are leaving for recovery. In the new academic year, we plan to accept about 70 new pupils— said the head of the kindergarten No. 89 Elena Krivenkova.

As of August 5, 78 institutions confirmed the readiness for the new school year: 33 kindergartens, 29 schools, 15 additional education institutions. The work of the commissions will continue until August 14 inclusive.
