The “New Horizons” conference is taking place in Crimea. They talk about the development of sports and tourism in the historical regions of Russia

The Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, spoke at the plenary session of the “New Horizons” conference, dedicated to the development of sports and tourism in the historical regions of Russia. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko addressed the event participants with a video greeting, recalling that a comprehensive program for the socio-economic development of historical regions had previously been developed and is currently being implemented.
The implementation of the program will allow us to solve the task that President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin set for us: to integrate the regions into a single economic, educational, and cultural space of Russia as soon as possible. The construction and restoration of residential buildings, kindergartens, schools, and cultural institutions is actively underway. Restoration of the existing infrastructure continues and new infrastructure for sports is being built. In 2025, an additional 2.5 billion rubles will be allocated for this. As part of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”, a comprehensive infrastructure for the recreation of our citizens is being created– shared the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.
During his speech, Sergei Aksyonov noted that the purpose of the “New Horizons” conference is to exchange experience with fraternal regions and identify the main priorities for the development of the tourism and sports industries.
I thank Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Nikolaevich Chernyshenko, the Ministry of Sports of Russia represented by its head Mikhail Vladimirovich Degtyarev, and deputies of the State Duma for organizing a large-scale event. We will be able to exchange established practices, determine the directions of our future actions, and outline ways to solve certain problemssays the Head of Crimea.
At the same time, the Head of the Republic emphasized that the tasks facing the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions are in many ways similar to the tasks of other constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The main thing now is to bridge the gap in development levels, using the experience of Crimea’s integration. Despite the difficulties and proximity to the front, our republic maintains positive dynamics in all areas, including sports and tourism. We actively share practice-tested techniques and strategies with colleagues from historical regions and are ready for further collaboration,” the Head of Crimea emphasized.
The event was attended by representatives of the leadership of the city of Sevastopol, DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, deputies of specialized committees of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, representatives of federal ministries, regional and municipal authorities, as well as the tourism industry and interested investors.
REFERENCE. The conference “New Horizons: Development of Sports and Tourism in New Regions of Russia” takes place on October 11-12 in the city of Yalta. One of the key goals of the event is to develop solutions for the development and support of tourism and sports in new territories, in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, as well as to discuss the necessary measures to support large investment and infrastructure projects in these territories. The conference will include a series of round tables at which issues of renovation of the tourism infrastructure of new regions and integration of new territories into the system of Russian sports will be discussed, and an off-site meeting of the State Duma Committee of the Russian Federation on Physical Culture and Sports, at which the topic of ways to achieve the Strategy’s targets will be raised development of physical culture and sports in new regions based on the experience of the Republic of Crimea.
