According to the republican law, in the territory of Crimea this day is a festive and weekend. The workers will be four days — March 17, Monday, as well as March 19, 20 and 21.

In early May, all Russians are waiting at once by two short working weeks on the occasion of the celebration of Spring and Labor Day and 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. People will be rest From May 1 to 4, and then from 8 to May 11 inclusive.

On March 18, 2014, an agreement on the adoption of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol in the Russian Federation was signed in the St. George Hall of the Great Kremlin Palace in Moscow.

Reference: The Crimea State Council on February 27, 2015 amended the Law “On holidays and memorable dates of the Republic of Crimea”, establishing that on March 18 it becomes an official holiday, a day off and annually will be celebrated as a reunification day of Crimea with Russia.
