The number of counterfeit banknotes has decreased in Sevastopol. And significantly
CrimeaPRESS reports:
For 9 months of 2023 in the banking sector of the region revealed 14 counterfeit banknotes, all of the five thousand denomination. Compared to the same period last year, the number of counterfeits has decreased by more than 3 times. In addition, over three quarters of this year, one counterfeit $100 bill was detected in the region.
The dynamics of reducing the number of counterfeit banknotes is obvious, however, despite this, we recommend that Sevastopol residents continue to be attentive to cash and be sure to check its authenticity by at least three signs — by touch, by looking through the light and by changing the angle of view. And remember that you should do this before the bill gets into your wallet— the press service of the deputy manager of the Sevastopol Branch of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Yuri Solomennik, quotes.
The free Bank of Russia Banknotes application will help you navigate the security elements and how to check them. A complete list of signs of the authenticity of all Russian money can be found on the Bank of Russia website in the “Cash circulation” section.
