The number of escrow accounts in Crimea has increased over the year

As of February 1, 2024, the number of active escrow accounts in the Republic of Crimea increased to 9130, which is 1.7 times more than on the same date last year. Since the beginning of the project financing system for commissioned facilities, developers have received almost 31.6 billion rubles from disclosed escrow accounts.
The mechanism of shared construction allows you to insure the funds of buyers and encourages developers to increase the volume of housing construction and meet deadlines for its delivery., – the press service of the head of the Bank of Russia Branch for the Republic of Crimea quotes Igor Tsvetkov. – Clients’ money is placed in special escrow accounts in authorized banks, and is transferred to the developer only after the completion of the project. In addition, funds transferred to such accounts are protected by a deposit insurance system for an amount of up to 10 million rubles.
At the beginning of February of this year, there were 94 loan agreements in force in the region in the amount of 142.3 billion rubles, which is 1.6 times more than at the same date last year.
