The opening of the festival «The Great Russian Word» took place in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today in Simferopol, events were held as part of the 16th International Festival «The Great Russian Word», dedicated to the 224th anniversary of the birth of A.S. Pushkin and the International Day of the Russian Language.
In the morning, an exhibition-retrospective of children’s creative works «The World of Russian Fairy Tale» dedicated to the 224th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet and writer Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin opened in the Crimean Parliament.
This competition has been held since 2007, since the time of the first Great Russian Word festival. The idea of holding it arose at a difficult time for Crimea, when the Crimean Russian-speaking community faced the task of preserving the Russian language in the educational space, preserving Russian national traditions, fostering patriotism and respect for the cultural heritage of the Russian people.
As the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, noted, the Great Russian Word festival was won by the Crimean people.
In the Ukrainian period, it was a platform where the power of the Crimean spring was formed. Then we discussed the problems of the Russian language, which was subjected to incredible persecution in Ukraine. We were the first to see what was happening, but, unfortunately, not everyone heard us. Today’s events, NWO confirms our correctness. We are not romantics and do not expect cardinal changes immediately after the festival. But, for example, a couple of years ago we talked about the eradication of anglicisms, and today a corresponding law has been adopted at the federal level. Today the festival takes place in difficult conditions for the Russian world. We need to win the unfolding confrontation. At the festival we will discuss the future of our civilization and other topical issues. We remember that at first there was a wordVladimir Konstantinov said.
Participants and guests of the festival laid flowers at the monument to A.S. Pushkin, the founder of many foundations of the Russian language, who glorified Russian culture and won the hearts of lovers of high literature.
Pushkin Day is a great opportunity to pay tribute to the great poet, philosopher, playwright, genius who was able to bring the literary world to its current state. It was from him that they learned the feeling of «secret freedom», lightness and elegance of style. His style was unusually light, he wrote how he breathed, how he spoke and communicated— said the participants of the event.
Honorary guests of the festival laid flowers at the monument to the classic: members of the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, headed by Chairman of the State Council Vladimir Konstantinov, Senator of the Russian Federation Sergey Tsekov, Chairman of the Simferopol City Council Viktor Ageev, Deputy Head of Simferopol Administration Alexander Semenchenko, as well as residents and guests of the Crimean capital.
Here, at the monument to the great poet, schoolchildren and artists of the Crimean Academic Russian Drama Theater named after A. Gorky», who read the poems «I love Pushkin’s creations», «You are beautiful, the shores of Taurida …», «I erected a monument to myself not made by hands» and other works.
The event continued with visits to exhibitions. One of them was the exhibition «Great Russian People», which reveals the theme of patriotism through the mouths of prominent figures in Russia.
Throughout the history of our country, the Russian people have developed those remarkable qualities that great national figures have sung for centuries. Among them are poets and writers, scientists and thinkers. All of them are united by one thing — a high sense of patriotism. This exhibition tells about the true national dignity, about the courage of the Russian spirit, about the genius of the immense, richest Russian language.— this is how the organizers describe the exposition.
The festival of the native word has become a platform for creative communication, the development of Russian culture and the strengthening of the positions of the language.
As part of the festival events in Crimea, educational programs, public forums, scientific conferences, creative meetings, literary and church-pedagogical readings will traditionally be held.
