The overhaul of the staircase has begun in the Yalta Baturin Square
CrimeaPRESS reports:
According to information from the head of the administration, Yanina Pavlenko, a major overhaul of the staircase in Baturin Square has begun in Yalta. It was built, like the square itself, in the 70s of the last century. For Yalta residents this is a short way from the street. Khalturin on Chernov and Kirov streets. In 2022, the staircase was blocked due to accidents — two flights collapsed.
We will dismantle almost 400 square meters, about 200 steps, and replace them with paving stones that will not slip in winter. We will also repair the rubble wall located here, and disassemble the damaged part of the staircase, which has collapsed over time, and replace it with a metal one,” the press service quotes Yanina Pavlenko.
The deputy head of the Yalta administration, head of the Department of Construction and Improvement, Irina Belomestnova, checked how the work was going.
The contractor is required to complete the repairs in November, but the pace he has taken allows us to hope for early completion of the contract. The cost of the work is 8 million rubles.
