CrimeaPRESS reports:
At the moment, 7.2 thousand people have been evacuated from the flooded territories of the Kherson region, of which 1.6 thousand people are in temporary accommodation centers (TAPs). By the end of June 11, since the beginning of the rescue operation, 7.1 thousand people were evacuated from the flooded territories, including 410 children and 95 people with limited mobility. Over the past 24 hours, 150 people have been evacuated from the villages affected by the flooding caused by the destruction of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. 80 people were hospitalized in the best medical facilities in the region.
Not only is the evacuation of residents promptly carried out and appropriate response measures are taken as a result of emergencies at the Kakhovskaya HPP, but also the Government of the Kherson region is currently taking all measures to ensure that payments to citizens are made as quickly as possible— informed Acting Governor of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo.
In his opinion, the peak of the flood has been passed. Indeed, the water continues to leave: in the Novokakhovsk urban district — up to the mark of 5 meters, in the Golopristansky and Aleshkinsky municipal districts — up to 1.5 meters. More than a thousand houses were freed from the water. In Novaya Kakhovka, pumping of water and clearing the territory continues.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin visited Novaya Kakhovka on a working trip. Large-scale construction and restoration work is planned in the city. The whole country will help.
On behalf of the President, he visited Novaya Kakhovka and Korsunka in the Kherson region. I looked at the current situation in general and the organization of work to eliminate the flood. I can say that the work is well organized. For example, there is no longer water in the square, known to all for shots with floating swans. I visited the point of providing essential goods, looked at the kits that are given to people. Then he held a meeting at the headquarters, where they looked at all further steps to eliminate the flood and provide citizens with everything necessarywrote in his Telegram channel Marat Khusnullin.
Yesterday, the sanitization of the area began here by a grouping of forces and means from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Vaccination of residents of the Golopristansky and Skadovsky municipal districts has started today.
The delivery of humanitarian aid continues: food and bottled drinking water, basic necessities.
