Fatal collision on the oncoming lane.
In Crimea, the prosecutor’s office of the Simferopol district approved an indictment in a criminal case against a local resident. He is charged under Part 3 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car, resulting in the death of a person through negligence).
According to the preliminary investigation authorities, the accused, driving a Kia car, moving along the Simferopol — Sevastopol — Kashtanovoe highway, due to exceeding the permissible speed, was unable to stop the car in a timely manner and drove into the lane intended for oncoming traffic, where they collided with the car Renault. As a result of an accident, a passenger in a Renault car died— reported the prosecutor’s office.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Simferopol District Court for consideration on the merits.
