The play “Roof” of the Yalta creative association “Amateur” was presented in Simferopol

Those who did not read the book of Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren “Kid and Carlson, who lives on the roof”, he watched the Soviet cartoon “Kid and Carlson” and “Carlson returned”, voiced by Livanov and Ranevskaya. We have known the characters since childhood, like their phrases, such as “And I have gone crazy”, “Not in pies happiness”, “Do not crush the neck!” and others.

Having matured, we began to wonder: was Carlson? Or is this “moderately well -fed man in the prime of strength” — only the fruit of the imagination of a little boy? And those who not only watched the cartoon, but also read the book, know some details of the personal life of the “household” Freken Bok …

The talented Yalta poet, musician, actor Alexander Kravnenko has long endanced the idea of ​​the play “The Roof” showing a different interpretation of the well -known plot — three years have passed from writing the play to its implementation on the stage.

I don’t know where it came from. I was sitting, I shied away, and in three days the play appeared. Why — I don’t know. All the action takes place in one room, there is some kind of arthouse in this … There is an opinion that this is a damned text, because 3 years ago I wrote it, and some events began that did not have a rational explanation. One of the curses of the “roof” was, they did not give me the hall— shared the newly -minted playwright and director Kravnenko.

And then, finally, before the new 2025 year, the premiere of this detective tragicomedy took place in the Yalta club “Molecule”, and this Saturday, March 29, the “roof” arrived in Simferopol. This is the second show of the performance. In a cozy chamber atmosphere of the “Bookstore of Writers”, the audience fascinatedly observed the revelations of the heroes known to them in the existential production, represented by the Yalta creative association “Amateur”.

Despite the fact that Alexander Kravnenko does not have professional acting, he has extensive experience in the Yalta Amateur Partal Theater, and now the artist has matured before the directorial debut, by the way, playing the role of Carlson. When asked why he chose this particular character, the playwright Kravnenko replied that Carlson was of great importance for him, because in childhood it was his favorite book:

Then I did not read it for several decades. And when my child appeared (my daughter was five years old), I bought a very good book on a flein for 100 rubles. There was the whole of Carlson in one book. And when I began to read the little, I realized that I remember right by heart! That’s where the play came from, I absolutely do not understand! It really was like a lightning blow! — The author of the «roof» is recognized.

It must be said that Alexander Kravnenko Krymchans know as the leader and author of the songs of the Rock Group “Sherry Young”, whose songs are distinguished by deep philosophical meaning and psychologism, and the heroes of texts are often familiar to us from the early years-the author sings about the thunderbird, about Pierrot, about the stubborn soldier, about the girl Ellie from the magical country of Oz …

When asked whether the author perceives the character of Carlson as negatively as he is perceived in his homeland, in Sweden, Alexander answered as follows:

Yes, I know that they perceive Carlson as a negative character, an egoist, instigator, but, firstly, for me there was still an initially cartoon with Livanov’s voice, and he is cool in the cartoon! And in the play I tried to push through all the versions about who he is. Including that this is an alter-ego baby, because the baby is all so correct, and Carlson is what the baby Svante Svanteson would sometimes like to be. Well, shoulder to play. Therefore, it is probably positive. This is such a multi -level book. That’s why I somehow tried to display this in the play by chasing it in the history of a classic English detective. I do not pretend to be some novelty, innovation. Well, it seems, it turned out well.

And the audience agrees with him!
