CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Yalta, the investigation of the criminal case initiated against the former inspector of the migration department of Police Department No. 3 “Massandra” has been completed. The official is accused of a number of episodes of entering deliberately false information into documents, which resulted in the illegal acquisition of citizenship of the Russian Federation, as well as organizing the illegal stay of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation and receiving a bribe for illegal actions (Part 1 of Article 292.1, paragraph “c” of Part 2 Article 322.1, Part 3 Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The Investigation Department for the city of Yalta of the Main Investigation Department established that in the period from April to August 2023, the then-current police officer entered into the registration documents deliberately false information about the permanent residence of seven foreign citizens in the region. The actions of the person authorized for migration issues resulted in the illegal acquisition of citizenship and receipt of a passport of the Russian Federation. In one of the cases, false information was entered for an illegal monetary reward in the amount of 80 thousand rubles— reported the Investigative Committee.

The criminal activities of the inspector of the migration department were stopped by the internal security officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea and the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. The criminal investigation has now been completed. The accused admitted guilt in committing the incriminated crimes. The case materials were sent to the prosecutor’s office for the purpose of studying, signing the indictment and sending the case to court.
