Earlier, the Head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov reported that the Republic had achieved self-sufficiency in the production of food wheat, bread and grain products, poultry meat, and fruits.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea, in 2023, Crimean farmers harvested more than 2.6 million tons of grain harvest in bunker weight. The average crop yield is 38.4 centners per hectare. For the 2024 harvest, the sown area of ​​winter and spring crops in Crimea will be more than 800 thousand hectares.
