On July 8, on the day of the family, love and fidelity in the city of Sevastopol, a round table «We do not throw our own.» The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of issues related to the inheritance procedure, including if there is a will — the rules of inheritance and law of heirs. The leitmotif of the conversation was the protection of the rights and interests of minor children of participants in a special military operation.

To provide legal assistance to families of families and veterans of a special military operation, experts from different fields met at the same table:

  • Commissioner for Children’s Rights to the cities of Sevastopol Marina Peschanskaya;
  • Head of the Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for Sevastopol Natalya Chernenkova;
  • acting head of the registry office of the city of Sevastopol Tatyana Sadilenko;
  • Deputy Director of the Department — Head of the Department for the Protection of Law of Minors, Guardianship, Anna Machulina;
  • Head of the Department of State Registration of Real Estate Olga Malaya;
  • Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol — the partner of the main bailiff of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol Angelika Lugachev.

The event sounded reports on the following topics:

  • the rights of heirs and amendments in the legislation regarding inheritance rights;
  • The resolution of issues related to receipt of documents on registration of assembly records told;
  • providing assistance to families of participants in life, experiencing life difficulties;
  • priority procedure for considering documents of participants in their and their families;
  • changes in the legislation in terms of the termination of enforcement proceedings due to the death of a soldier, inheritance of debt obligations.

The head of the Sevastopol Notaries Olga Kalenkovich in her report separately drew the attention of the listeners that on July 15 of this year, a new procedure for calculating the deadline for the inheritance of the dead participants in SV comes into force. It is stipulated that the deadline for the adoption of the inheritance of the victims in the course of his will be counted from the date of drawing up the record of the act of civil state about death, if the date of death is unknown or differs from the date of drawing up a death document by more than 3 months. In such cases, the inheritance will be recognized as the heir from the day of the death of the testator. The changes apply to participants in their dead or missing on January 1, 2025 and later. Olga Nikolaevna also emphasized that today the heirs are still allowed to use the vehicle belonging to the testator until the certificate of inheritance is received.

At the end of the event, Olga Nikolaevna handed over to representatives of the branch of the Foundation the defenders of the Fatherland information leaflets about the benefits of notaries for participants in their families and their families.
