The President signed the law on the collection of contributions for overhaul

The law on an increase in the threshold of collecting collection for major repairs has already been signed by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The document regulates the collection of contributions for overhaul in apartment buildings, where the fund is formed in special accounts. The law is published on the portal of regulatory legal acts.

In Art. 173 of the Housing Code will be amended. The collection of contributions in the special scales should be at least 60%. Previously, the threshold of collecting contributions for major repairs was lower — 50%. If the amount in the account is below this indicator, the funds will be transferred to the account of the regional Operator of the overhaul.

According to the document, if the amount of contributions for overhaul is less than 60% of the amount of accrued payments, Gosilnadzor will inform the owner of the special scales about this, who will warn the owners of the apartments about the need to repay the debt. You need to pay the debt within five months. If the missing funds are not paid within this period, the state supervision will begin the formation of an account with the regional operator. According to paragraph 10 of Art. 173 of the Housing Code, the owner of a special account must transfer funds to the account of the re -operator within a month after receiving the decision.

Now residents of apartment buildings can choose a way to dispose of the collected funds raised for major repairs. Residents can transfer money to the regional operator or create their own account for this purpose.
