The President signed the law on the register of alimony debtors

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday signed a law providing for the creation of a register of debtors for alimony obligations.

The document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information. The law comes into force 360 days after publication.

The document provides for the creation of a register of persons obligated to pay alimony, against whom enforcement measures have been taken, who have arrears in alimony, who have been brought to administrative and criminal liability, as well as those who are wanted.

The information contained in the register of debtors for alimony obligations will be a special public source of information; it will be more difficult for alimony defaulters to hide the fact of improper maintenance of children and disabled parents.

Information about debtors will be publicly available until the day the debt is repaid under enforcement proceedings or its completion (termination), with the exception of information about the debtor being put on the wanted list, which will be publicly available until the day he is discovered.
