The printing of ballots for the Russian Presidential elections for Sevastopol has started

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Crimean printing house «Tavrida» has begun printing election ballots intended for Sevastopol. In total, the printing organization plans to print 333,900 pieces, all ballots are intended for voting using technical means of counting votes — ballot processing complexes (POIB), which are equipped in all 187 polling stations. Members of the Sevastopol City Election Commission monitor the process of making ballots at all stages of production.

The ballot contains the most important information about each registered candidate. The names of candidates are placed in alphabetical order, year of birth, place of residence, main place of work or service, position held or occupation, subject of nomination (if the candidate was nominated by a political party — the name of the political party, or if the candidate himself nominated himself — the word » self-nomination»).

Ballot papers are carefully protected from counterfeiting and have several degrees of protection: specially thick paper, on the reverse side there is a green background protective grid, the ballot must be certified by the signatures of two members of precinct election commissions with the casting vote and the seal of the precinct election commission (PEC). In addition, a special stamp is affixed to each ballot; it is impossible to re-stick it without damaging it.

The newsletter contains information on how to fill it out. But, if a voter made a mistake, he can contact a member of the precinct commission with a request to issue a new form, and they will give it to him in exchange for the damaged one. Spoiled ballot papers are canceled by PEC members and are not taken into account when counting votes.

On March 6, 2024, at 8 a.m. in Simferopol, responsible representatives of the Sevastopol City Election Commission will receive from the Tavrida printing house the prepared ballots for voting in the elections of the President of the Russian Federation and on the same day will transfer them to the territorial election commissions of Sevastopol.

The elections of the President of the Russian Federation will be held in a three-day format on March 15, 16 and 17, 2024.
