The problem of attempts to falsify the history of the Great Patriotic War was discussed in Crimea

CrimeaPRESS reports:

“Problems of interpreting modern history and countering attempts to falsify the history of the Great Patriotic War” was the topic of discussion at the meeting of Vladimir Bobkov, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, with students of the Faculty of History of the Crimean Federal University. IN AND. Vernadsky.

Solving the problem of falsification and distortion of history to the detriment of Russia’s interests has recently acquired international significance. However, this is not the first time: similar processes have taken place in the past.— said the vice-speaker of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea.

Vladimir Bobkov interactively gave examples of the falsification of ideas about Russia since the time of Ivan the Terrible, drawing a parallel to the present day, dwelling in detail on the period of the Great Patriotic War, voicing the facts from the unique archival documents identified, many of which remain inaccessible to the general public.

According to the parliamentarian, “data falsification distorts the history of ancestors, and sometimes completely erases it forever. The current generation should think about how the society of the future will receive historical information about the events of the past and all the key facts in their original form.”

History is an invaluable experience that can help prevent the mistakes of the past. Therefore, historical consciousness and historical memory are important areas for any society. It is necessary to resist falsifications both at the level of the state and the whole society. Only by uniting can we remind the whole world of the heroism of our people in defending the Fatherland in the most difficult years for it, and thereby sharpen the feeling of gratitude to the soldiers of that time and not let ourselves be fooled by enemies. Our strength is in the truth— summed up the vice-speaker of the Crimean parliament.
