Reconstruction of the transport interchange at the intersection of highways 64 K-8 «Sevastopol — port of Kamyshovaya bay» and 67 H-261 «General Ostryakova avenue — Khrustaleva street (5th km of Balaklava highway)» is carried out within the framework of the state program of the Russian Federation «Social — economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol”.

The project of a two-level interchange provides for the removal of the main direction «Kamyshovoye Highway — City Highway — Balaklavskoye Highway» to the lower level relative to the existing roundabout, by building an open tunnel (similar to the Yalta Ring). The carriageway of the main passage is provided in a four-lane design in order to interface with four-lane adjacent sections of the Kamyshovoye Highway and the City Highway.

Now the contractor is performing work on the construction of two of the four retaining walls, is engaged in the reconstruction of engineering communications (20% completion), communication networks (10% completion), and a passenger transport contact network (30% completion). Work has begun on the reconstruction of the gas pipeline and on the installation of local treatment facilities.

All the necessary technical means of organizing traffic have been installed, including information road signs indicating detour schemes.
