The profile committee of the Federation Council supported the concept of coast protection of Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Today, members of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian Food Policy and Environmental Management discussed the concept of coastal protection of the coast of Sevastopol. The project was presented by the director of the Department of Natural Resources and Ecology Yulia Gavrilova during the committee meeting. According to her, the coast of the city is prone to landslides, and in some areas the retreat of the coast occurs at a rate of 4-5 meters per year. Over the past few years, collapses have been recorded, which were accompanied by the destruction of outbuildings.

We are faced with the fact that the study of this territory is absolutely absent, since the city was closed for a long time and work on the study of the environmental sphere was not funded. But in the 20 year, Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev supported us and the work on the development of a general scheme for protecting the coast was financed. As a result, we divided the entire scope of work into nine sections , — said Yulia Gavrilova.

Dangerous landslide and landslide processes were recorded in the following areas:

— the coast in the area of the German beam, the village of Kacha;

— coast from Cape North Spit to Cape Tolstoy;

— coast from Cape Tolstoy to Uchkuevka beach;

— coast near Lyubimovka;

— coast in the area of SNT «Bereg»;

— the coast near the village of Kacha, SNT «Sail»;

— the coast in the area with. Osipenko, tourist center «Star Coast»;

— a site in the area of the mouth river Kacha;

— sanatorium «Elm Grove», ST «Mirage».

In most areas, landslide processes affect existing buildings, somewhere in the last few years, facts of falling houses have been recorded. Therefore, the concept involves a number of protective measures: the organization of hydraulic structures, the arrangement of intermediate terraces, landscaping, the creation of buffer beach zones, the filling of beaches, and so on , — said the head of Sevprirodnadzor.

All necessary measures are proposed to be divided into the first, second and third stages. The implementation period of the first stage is from 2025 to 2026, the second — from 2027 year to 2027 year, the third — from 2029 year to 2030 year. Cost of work will amount to ,5 billion rubles in prices of 2021 of the year or 20,6 billion — adjusted for inflation up to 2030 year.

In addition to the fact that we developed the concept and predicted what would happen to our shores in the next years, we passed this information on to our colleagues to develop a master plan cities. We will plan the development of our coast in such a way as to preserve as much as possible those areas that need it, and develop those territories that are stable , — Yulia Gavrilova emphasized.

The Committee of the Federation Council on Agrarian and Food Policy and Nature Management supported the concept. “Here, I think, colleagues, there are no questions. It is necessary to support the subject and a very ambitious, but at the same time very necessary action plan. Your proposals will find support in a resolution that we will adopt tomorrow at the plenary session,” concluded Alexei Mayorov, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian Food Policy and Environmental Management.

From June 6 to 8, the Days of Sevastopol are held in the Federation Council. Representatives of the Hero City, headed by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, at the meetings of the committees of the Federation Council discuss with the senators the development of communal infrastructure, water supply, agriculture and winemaking, tourism and other areas. The result of the events will be the adoption of a resolution «On state support for the socio-economic development of the federal city of Sevastopol.»
