The project of KFU historians is among the hundred best projects implemented in Russia in 2022

The project of historians of the Crimean Federal University “Place of Memory: Comprehension of History in Memorial Space” was included in the top 100 best projects implemented in the Russian Federation in 2022. The results of the assessment of the results of projects completed in 2022 were summed up at a meeting of the Coordination Committee at the Presidential Grants Fund.
To form among teenagers and young people an objective idea of the general course of the Great Patriotic War, its background and consequences, as well as to develop the ability to independently identify and expose falsifications, fakes and pseudo-historical publications on the history of Russia, a discussion club began its work. An educational course was also developed to improve skills in working with historical documents; methodological recommendations have been prepared for conducting educational lectures, seminars, round tables and master classes on the issues of preventing the falsification of history and distortion of the events of the Great Patriotic War; a practical seminar was held for teachers to discuss the best practices of patriotic education, – quotes the press service of the project manager, vice-rector for educational and methodological activities of KFU. This year, 4,000 initiatives were assessed. Based on the results of the assessment, 85% of the projects were considered to be implemented successfully, 12% — satisfactorily, and 3% of the teams were unable to cope with their obligations.
