The project “Spiritually educational performances “Children to children about what is priceless for us” starts in Sevastopol

With the blessing of the Head of the Crimean Metropolis, Metropolitan Lazar of Simferopol and Crimea, from September 24 to 27, the performances “Sevastopol — Faith, Hope, Love” and “Peter I. Ladder of History” of the project “Spiritual educational performances “Children to children about what priceless for us” of the Department of Religious Education of the Sevastopol Deanery and the Balaklava House of Children and Youth Creativity, (city of Sevastopol), in the cities of Anapa, Novorossiysk, Krasnodar.

Previously, the project’s performances were successfully shown in Moscow (at the Palace of Pioneers on Sparrow Hills, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Museum of Glory on Poklonnaya Hill), St. Petersburg, Anapa, and were awarded with Gratitude from the Chairman of the Federation Council V.I. Matvienko, Commissioner for Children’s Rights A.Yu. Kuznetsova.

This project contributes to solving one of the main problems of modern youth: it helps to correct the lack of clear moral guidelines due to the loss of connection with the traditional Orthodox faith and the historically established spiritual foundations of the Russian peopleemphasizes the co-organizer of the project, head of the department of religious education of the Sevastopol deanery, Archpriest Mikhail Viktorov.

The project was initiated by children who expressed a desire to show performances to their peers from the Southern Federal District. The implementation of the project will allow, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 809 dated November 9, 2022 “On approval of the Fundamentals of State Policy for the Preservation and Strengthening of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values,” to attract the most significant youth audience for the further development of Russia to the informal study and understanding of traditional spiritual and moral values .

The uniqueness of the project is that children tell their peers about the main spiritual traditional values ​​of Russia through theatrical art.

The head of the Resource Center for Spiritual and Moral Education, director of the Balaklava House of Children and Youth Creativity Nadezhda Anatolyevna Protasova in her speech especially draws attention to the fact that each performance is an immersion in the history of Russia, a combination of vocals, choreography, literature with historical material and documentary chronicles . Children, teachers, representatives of the Orthodox Church participating in the project will not only show performances to high school students from the cities of the Southern Federal District, but will also organize discussions, master classes for further replication of this experience and a festival of theatrical productions with spiritual and moral content.
