The prosecutor’s office of the Gagarinsky district of Sevastopol conducted an inspection of compliance with the requirements of land legislation when using lands belonging to the territory of the State Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve «Tavrichesky Chersonesus».

It was established that in 2011, an individual was given ownership of a free plot of land with an area of 0.10 hectares on the street. Rubezhnoy for individual country house construction. This site is located on the territory of the UNESCO World Heritage Site — the State Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve «Tavrichesky Chersonesus», its privatization was illegal. Subsequently, the land was resold several times and appeared in legal proceedings, — noted in the press service of the department.

Having identified the fact of the existence of a land plot illegally allocated for dacha construction within the boundaries of the territory of the historical and archaeological museum-reserve, the district prosecutor’s office sent a statement of claim to the court to declare the sale and purchase agreement invalid and to reclaim the land as state property.
