The prosecutor’s office of the Nakhimovsky district of Sevastopol conducts an audit on the media published in the media about an elderly woman discovered in an unheated house.

It was reported that volunteers found a woman born in a private house on the street. Spring on the north side of Sevastopol. She lived without relatives and, by virtue of age, could not secure normal living conditions. At the same time, according to preliminary information, she did not contact the social services bodies. The district prosecutor Dmitry Reich took into account personal control the issue of observing the rights of an elderly woman, full of medical and social assistance provided to her. The pensioner expects a relative will soon come to her. Currently, it is located in the GBUS «City Hospital No. 4» under the supervision of doctors. Sevastopol City Complex Center for Social Services provided her with warm things and food.

According to the results of departure to the place, the prosecutor’s office will evaluate the living conditions in the house of an elderly woman. If necessary, she will be provided with legal assistance on obtaining social support measures, as well as in the collection or restoration of missing documents.

Based on the results of the audit, if there are grounds, measures of prosecutorial response will be taken.
