The prosecutor's office of Sevastopol helped the veteran of the Great Patriotic War solve the housing problem
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol carried out an audit on the appeal of a local resident born in 1935 about the violation of her housing rights.
It has been established that the elderly woman is a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. In October 2020, she applied to the Capital Construction Department of Sevastopol with an application for registration as in need of housing, but was refused due to the fact that she allegedly lives in Sevastopol for a short time. During the inspection, the prosecutor’s office obtained documents confirming the woman’s actual residence in Sevastopol and her labor activity at various enterprises of the city for a total of more than 14 years, which is sufficient for housing registration— reported the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Sevastopol.
In this regard, the prosecutor’s office of the city sent an application to the Nakhimovsky District Court of Sevastopol to establish the fact of the veteran’s residence in Sevastopol, which was satisfied.
The decision of the court became the basis for including the pensioner in the number of persons in need of housing. At present, thanks to the intervention of the supervisory authority, the rights of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War have been restored. The applicant was issued a certificate for the purchase or construction of housing in the amount of almost 5 million rubles.
