The prosecutor's office of Sevastopol helps the victim of distance fraudsters to return housing

The prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol in court defends the rights of a 76-year-old local resident who has lost two apartments as a result of the actions of distance fraudsters.
It was established that in November 2024, unknown persons called an elderly woman, introduced themselves to law enforcement officials and demanded to assist in the exposure of “black realtors”. Under this pretext, allegedly, within the framework of operational events, they convinced her to sell her two apartments on the street. Admiral Yumashev and Eroshenko. False law enforcement officers promised that after the detention of criminals the apartment would remain in her property.
Under the influence of fraud and psychological pressure, the woman sold her real estate at a significantly underestimated price, and gave all the proceeds to the courier of telephone scammers who submitted an employee of the Central Bank.
Thus, the pensioner lost housing with a total average market value of 15.4 million rubles.
On this fact, the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol has been instituted and investigated by a criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale).
To restore the rights of the victim, the city prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit in court on the recognition of transactions of the purchase and sale of two apartments invalid. The prosecutor’s claim is considered by the Gagarinsky District Court of Sevastopol.
The course of the investigation of the criminal case is taken into control.
