The Kerch City Court satisfied the claim of the Crimean prosecutor’s office to recover over 220 million rubles in state income from the organizers of illegal gambling activities on the peninsula. This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea.

The department clarified that the defendants were previously convicted of illegally organizing and conducting gambling outside the gambling zone. According to investigators, from 2016 to March 2019, the convicts, knowing that gambling was prohibited in Crimea and Sevastopol, placed gambling equipment on the territory of the republic and organized gambling— reports TASS.
