The prospects for Crimean football teams have become clearer. Not the RPL, not the top league, but still Russian football

KrymPRESS informs:

FNL has started work on integrating Crimean clubs into its tournaments.

The Football National League (FNL) has considered a letter from the Crimean Football Union (CFU) on the inclusion of Crimean football teams in the competition under the auspices of the FNL (the first and second leagues of Russian football). This is reported by 857735 FNL press service.

A decision was made to create a joint working group that will analyze the readiness of Crimean professional clubs for integration. The FNL delegation will soon visit the peninsula , the message says.

August The Russian football authorities have informally informed FIFA and UEFA of their plans to develop football in the Crimean peninsula, Alexander Alaev, the new president of the Russian Premier League, said at a press conference.

Informal negotiations with FIFA and UEFA have recently taken place. If colleagues have not been able to develop football there in eight years, then Russian organizations, the Ministry of Sports, should do it. Integration and development of football in Crimea is our main task. This position was unofficially heard by colleagues from FIFA and UEFA. It is important not to burn bridges with FIFA and UEFA, as this will affect all players and all clubs , he added.

The result — the Crimean clubs will be included in the Russian football structure. Not yet the “top division”, not the RPL, but already the FNL.

The situation has changed, so the integration of Crimean football into Russian football is inevitable,” Alaev commented.
