In Sevastopol, the Public Bureau for the Employment of Pensioners and Members of Their Families has resumed its work. The organization has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Employment Center, a subordinate institution of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

According to him, the organization will continue to actively conduct outreach to older people, help them find employment, and offer training and advanced training as part of the Demography national project.

Today, Sevastopol residents have already come to the bureau in the hope of getting help from specialists in finding a job.

I came to the bureau for the first time. I want to find a job as a courier, freight forwarder. A specialist from the Employment Center helped me pick up the order of vacancies. I will call employers and solve the issue of employment , — says Mikhail Kartashov.

Employees of the Employment Center also offer visitors to get acquainted with the digital platform « Work of Russia » and interactive 175 portal of the State Employment Service of Sevastopol.

According to statistics, more than half of the elderly people in Russia continue their work after reaching retirement age. The tasks of the employment service also include explanatory work on the benefits of maintaining jobs for employees who wish to extend their working life.

Recall that in the 2022 year, 12 a pensioner and 175 citizens of pre-retirement age. Many of them were fired from their last job due to downsizing or liquidation of the enterprise. For the period from January to October 2022 of the year, with the help of the center, 59 pensioners found work.
