The publication of the newspaper «Glory of Sevastopol» will be resumed. The city government came to the rescue

We told about the situation with the newspaper «Glory of Sevastopol» at the beginning of July. What is the «situation» here, the newspaper has ceased to be published, as they say, «for financial reasons.» But what about the city? And the city decided to restart the project. The newspaper will be published again. The editorial office and printing house will work again.

The Department of Information Policy and the editorial office of the newspaper «Glory of Sevastopol» signed an agreement on the transfer of the rights of the founder to the department. Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev instructed to work out the issue of resuming the publication of the newspaper.

I received a lot of requests to close the newspaper «Glory of Sevastopol». He ordered to work out the issue, because this is a legendary newspaper, awarded the medal «For the Defense of Sevastopol» and the Order of the Badge of Honor. It began to be published in December 1917 of the year, and I could not allow the newspaper to disappear in the year of my anniversary . Many thanks to the staff for saving the newspaper and handing over those very awards to the Government of Sevastopol today … We will keep them , — said the head of the city.

The signing of the agreement with the information policy department was supported by the team of founders. Now the newspaper is waiting for the process of re-registration, after which the publication of the periodical will resume.

Irina Yukhina, head of the information policy department of the government of Sevastopol, stressed that the newspaper would remain socio-political.

All the design support of the newspaper will also remain — the same as the townspeople are accustomed to , — said the head of the department.
