The quality of sea water off the coast of Crimea is an expert assessment

According to the results of the studies, the proportion of sea water samples that do not meet hygienic standards for microbiological indicators amounted to 4.5 %, and 0.1 %in sanitary and chemical indicators. In addition, 269 samples for microbiological indicators, 360 samples for parasitological indicators and 2327 samples for sanitary-chemical indicators were investigated to monitor the condition of the soil in recreation zones. We draw attention to the fact that bathing, water sports are allowed only in those sections of water bodies, which in 2025 issued a positive sanitary and epidemiological conclusion for the use of a water body for recreational purposes— emphasized in the department.

Earlier, the chief specialist-expert department of the sanitary supervision of the Interregional Directorate of Rospotrebnadzor in the Crimea and Sevastopol Oksana Beloshekina said that the quality of sea water off the coast of Crimea complies with the norms for microbiological, chemical and parasitological indicators.
