The queue of cars at the Crimean bridge is growing. Waiting in a traffic jam — about two hours

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The queue for inspection at the Crimean bridge: travelers will have to wait about two hours. The queue for inspection at the Krymsky bridge is growing again from both the Krasnodar Territory and the Crimea, and travelers already have to wait about two hours, as reported Telegram channel «Crimean bridge: operational information».

Reasons for delays:

Reason #1. The traffic is carried out in reverse mode, which affects the travel time.

Reason number 2. Thorough inspection of luggage and cars themselves.

Reason number 3. The unpreparedness of people (some) for inspection (plainly unpacked luggage, search for documents, etc.).

Reason number 4. The ferry service only carries trucks and buses.

Reason number 5. Many drivers have abandoned the land route through the new territories (now we are not talking about the reasons for this).

The reversible section of the Crimean Bridge is a place of high-speed mode and increased distance between cars. The speed limit here is 20 km/h, and the distance between cars must be at least 50 meters.

Increased security measures continue to operate on the Crimean bridge with a mandatory 100% inspection of vehicles and luggage. Cars with compactly packed items are sent for manual screening, while cars with a lot of luggage go through the scanner.

Drivers are advised to pack things in such a way that they can be easily and quickly transferred from the car to the screening point. When going through security, drivers should be prepared to open the car doors, hood, trunk and windows, as well as remove and open all bags, spare tire and floor mats, and, if necessary, carry bags through the scanner.”
