The regional endocrinological center is operating in Crimea

On the basis of the GBUZ of the Republic of Crimea «Republican Clinical Hospital named after N. A. Semashko «The regional endocrinological center is functioning. The center was created last year as part of the federal project “Fighting Diabetes” of the national project “Long and active life”.
Patients with risks of complications of diabetes from all over Crimea are sent to the regional endocrinological center. The goal of the Center is to improve and improve the availability of medical care by a patient with diseases of the endocrine system, preventing the occurrence and progression of acute and chronic complications of diabetes, including diabetic retinopathy and amputation of the lower extremities.
The center’s structure includes a school for patients with diabetes, a diabetic foot cabin, an ophthalmological office with a laser operating room.
Group and individual classes at a school for patients with diabetes are carried out separately for patients with type 1 and 2 diabetes from Monday to Friday. To participate in the classes, it is necessary to obtain the direction of form 057/u from the endocrinologist/doctor-therapist/general doctor in the medical organization at the place of attachment. Also, the doctor can electronically write the patient to classes. Place of classes: Simferopol, Kyiv Street, 69 (1st floor of the building of the former vascular surgery).
In the diabetic foot office, an endocrinologist who has undergone additional training in providing assistance to patients with diabetes, who encounter complications on the lower extremities, conducts the reception. Patients with the risk of developing diabetic foot are directed here. The doctor conducts an examination — evaluates blood flow, sensitivity, the presence of defects that may be the risk of trophic ulcers, process trophic changes on the feet, gives recommendations for care and treatment.
One of the serious complications of diabetes is diabetic retinopathy. Patients with diabetes mellitus with the risk of developing diseases of the visual apparatus are sent to the ophthalmological cabinet of the regional endocrinological center. At the expense of the federal budget, the ophthalmology cabinet is assumed by equipment this year-the optical coherent tomography system, an ultrasonic scanner, an endothelial microscope, a laser photocoagulature with a green beam, IAG laser and much more have been purchased.
The regional endocrinological center also includes other structural units of the RCB named after N. A. Semashko, which provides an integrated approach to providing medical care to patients with diabetes requiring consultations of specialists of various profiles.
