The regional stage of the game “Zarnitsa 2.0” for high school students took place in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The regional stage of the All-Russian military-patriotic game “Zarnitsa 2.0” for children aged 14 to 17 years has started in Sevastopol. The 12 best teams that previously passed the qualifying competitions gathered at the Center for Military-Patriotic Education of Students and the Asgard Sports Club.
Young Army members — students from schools No. 25, 12, 33, 54, 58, 61, 38, 60, 6, 9, 46 and the Sevastopol Polytechnic Lyceum — competed for championship in various military sports disciplines — team and individual.
In the city of Sevastopol, this game is more familiar as the game “Frontier”, which has existed in the city for 58 years. We continue to preserve traditions and play our famous “Rubezh”. Three teams from each district of the city took part in the competition. Over the course of three days, participants had to undergo many difficult tests aimed at general knowledge, physical and military training — this included a formation review, a paramilitary relay race, a firing line, and first aid.— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the Center for Military-Patriotic Education of Students Ivan Demidov.
The teams competed in knowledge of national history and general literacy, in sports, fire and drill training, in first aid, a militarized obstacle course and the basics of chemical warfare.
Based on the results of three intense days, the strongest teams were determined:
- 1st place – Youth Army detachment of school No. 60 named after Hero of the Soviet Union V. S. Pilipenko;
- 2nd place – Youth Army detachment of school No. 61 named after Hero of the Soviet Union A.I. Marinesko;
- 3rd place – Youth Army detachment of school No. 9 named after Hero of the Soviet Union Z. I. Parfyonova.
Our team prepared very seriously. Every day we trained until the evening, learned to disassemble a machine gun, and put on a combined arms protective kit. We even had to miss many lessons at school, which are very important in our lives. We really hoped to win. And I’m glad that, after overcoming all the difficulties, our team was able to take first placesays German Larin, a student of the 8th “A” grade of school No. 60.
The winning team will represent Sevastopol in the district semi-finals in Volgograd. The All-Russian final will take place in September. Participants who have scored the most points in the squad and individual competitions will compete for the title of best.
The All-Russian military-patriotic game was held under the auspices of the “First Movement”, the Sevastopol Regiment of the Russian Guard, the Center for Military-Patriotic Education of Students and the Youth Army. Competitions help strengthen physical health, morale, foster a sense of mutual assistance, comradely support and preparation for service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
