Today, on the territory of the sports and recreation complex named after the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol, the opening ceremony of the regional stage of the All-Russian sports games for schoolchildren «Presidential sports games» was held. On behalf of Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, a city-wide Spartakiad of schoolchildren was organized in the city, which includes 13 types of programs, «Presidential sports games» are among them. During the opening of the event, the appeal of the Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov was read out.
On behalf of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and myself, I congratulate you on the opening of the regional stage of the All-Russian Sports Games for Schoolchildren «Presidential Sports Games». 2023 in the Russian Federation is a special year. This is the Year of the Teacher and Mentor. In this regard, I also want to congratulate the physical education teachers who train teams at a high level in order to defend the honor of not only their city, but also the honor of their club. All participants of the presidential games will undoubtedly gain positive competitive experience in 11 sports, including such educational ones as orienteering and sports tourism. Based on the results of the regional stage, teams will be determined, formed from students of one general educational organization and who have achieved the best results, which will take part in the all-Russian stage of the presidential sports games in the Krasnodar Territory at the all-Russian children’s center «Change» on September 7-27. I wish you good luck, success and all the best! — stated in the appeal.
Within the framework of the regional stage, competitions in six sports are held from May 3 to May 23: basketball, volleyball, table tennis, athletics, sports tourism, and orienteering.
Today we are present at the celebration of youth, the celebration of health and sports. You know, every athlete has two slogans: the comic “The main thing is not victory, but participation” and the serious “Forward to victory!”. This academic year, about eight thousand students from 43 educational institutions of Sevastopol became participants in sports competitions.
The Presidential Sports Games are part of our comprehensive Spartakiad for schoolchildren and one of its key projects. At this event, the coverage of schoolchildren amounted to almost eight thousand people, and it’s great that the guys who have reached the regional stage are now competing at the best athletics core in the region of the sports and recreation complex named after the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol. I wish the teams success, may the best man win! — notes the head of the department for youth and sports, Sergei Reznichenko.
Today, four teams from schools No. 42, 12, 7 and 24 took part in the competition, which showed the best result at the municipal stages. Boys and girls born in 2008-2009 competed in sprint, long jump and relay.
There are 12 people in our team: 6 boys and 6 girls. Three people run 60 m, and three people run 800 m. The main thing is to overtake the opponent. Our team has already won in volleyball and basketball. We still have orienteering and tourism. Last year we won these competitions and represented Sevastopol at the All-Russian level. This year we want to repeat the success of the team, we have a good squad, we have every chance— shared a member of the team of gymnasium No. 7 Daniil Nikitin.
The all-Russian stage of sports games for schoolchildren «Presidential Sports Games» will be held from September 7 to 27 in Anapa.
