The relics of the holy righteous warrior Theodore Ushakov will be kept in the home church of the Sevastopol Presidential School in honor of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius.

Let us remind you that the icon of the Holy Warrior Theodore Ushakov was at the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet, but remained unharmed by the missile attack on September 22. Only the oak frame that framed the icon burned down. The clergy and believers are convinced that this cannot be explained except by a miracle of the Lord.

Admiral Fyodor Ushakov became famous for many glorious exploits, but the main thing is that he did not suffer a single defeat and did not lose a single warship. In total, the Russian naval commander won 43 naval battles.

Fyodor Ushakov arrived in Sevastopol with the rank of captain of the first rank. He was then 40 years old. He began to actively engage in the construction of a port and the main base of the Black Sea Fleet. Three years later he became commander of the Sevastopol squadron. Under Fyodor Ushakov, the Admiralty expanded in Sevastopol, barracks and a military hospital appeared, many houses were built, roads were laid and a garden was laid out for the recreation of lower ranks. Subsequently, the park on the Korabelnaya Side received the name Ushakova Balka.

In honor of the famous admiral, an exhibition was opened at the Sevastopol Presidential Cadet School. There are icons created based on the iconographic images of Fyodor Ushakov, the naval commander’s uniform and his portraits drawn by students of the cadet school.
